We had a very pleasant time, the traditional cuisine and especially the garbure delighted us, the decoration immerses us in a very mountainous world and the owner of the place is also very friendly. We recommend this restaurant to spend a moment of relaxation in all simplicity and authenticity

There have been several visits, an incredible quality-price ratio, everything spectacular, a quiet place and very well attended by the owner, an essential stop in Luz. Complete cheese fondue for three, drinks and dessert 101 euros

What a delightful and delicious experience! Garbure, a mountain stew local to this area. The stew is hearty with cabbage, potatoes, turnips, carrots and shredded French ham.The cook is an elderly lady who single handedly runs the place. You need to make a reservation for this place (at least a couple of days in advance, because they are normally full) and when you call, they'll ask you (in French) what you want to eat. They have the choice of the fondue menu or the garbure menu.We 100% wanted the garbure, for which she is known for. It's 42 in total for two diners, and includes a cheese course and dessert (cash payment only). There are no options here, just turn up and eat what's given to you. It's awesome. The decor of the restaurant itself is an antique shop, part stables part warehouse and is quaint and lovely. If there is only one meal you can have here in Luz Saint Sauveur, it should be here. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.
